Reconnect March 2023

Today I reconnected with my class of 2021. I was offered a World Book Day assembly slot to tell the girls of Auckland Park Preparatory School, Johannesburg, about the book that was birthed by our shared interest in the Suez Crisis of 2021. They even remembered the place that the Evergiven was stuck!

The girls have moved beyond picture books, so I told the backstory to the four senior grades. 'My' Grade 3 girls are now Grade 5s. They were beyond thrilled to have had a book dedicated to them.
